Breath Panchapranas (Five Pranas)
Breath
Panchapranas… (Five Pranas)
As
soon as the air we take in the form of breath enters through the nostrils, it
is divided into five parts.
It is transformed into the five Pranas :
1. Prana,
2. Apana, 3.Vyana, 4. Udana and
5. Samana
1. Pranamu :- Air is taken in from
the infinite sky according to one’s ability.
2. Apana Vayu:- The gas that comes
out is called Apana Vayu. With the help of this gas, not only the stool is
excreted but also the harmful impurities in the body are expelled.
3. Vyana Vayu:- The gas that helps
in giving our body a human form. The deficiency of this gas leads to deformity,
mental retardation, and physical stunting (Dwarfism).
4. Udana Vayu:- With the help of
this, we are able to speak. Its deficiency causes problems like stuttering,
slurred speech, hoarseness.
5. Samana Vayu:- With the help of
this, the food we eat turns into energy and distributes the right amount of
energy to each part, creating balance. Its deficiency causes the body to become
unbalanced.
